Who We Are

The Pentecostals of Greater Hazleton (POGH) is a friendly, spirit-filled congregation serving the Greater Hazleton community. Our spiritual foundation was laid in the second chapter of the Book of Acts on the day of Pentecost. We stand firm on the same doctrinal values given to us in Scripture. God's first church was a vibrant people who built their lives on righteous principles and solid morals.

Our History

For over 100 years, our church family has served the Greater Hazleton community under the name Apostolic Faith Church. Through the decades, our congregation has remained rooted in the same doctrinal values first established in the second chapter of the Book of Acts. Today, as The Pentecostals of Greater Hazleton, we carry that same heritage forward into a new chapter for our church.

What We Believe

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that salvation is found through repentance, baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost, as taught in Acts 2:38. We believe in one God, revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and we strive to live lives of holiness in response to His grace.
